Accessories I Love: Alex and Ani Charm Bangles

I adore personalized jewelry and little trinkets that can be worn interchangeably with other pieces of jewelry that I own and stacked for a layered look. I also love pieces that have a message or meaning. When it comes to accessories to much is never enough in my opinion. The more the merrier. A while ago while searching online for jewelry I came across Alex and Ani bangles. I did not order them right away but I put the on my purchase/wish list and knew that I would eventually buy them. The bracelets are super cute and come in silver or an antique gold. They have tons of charms options to choose from including initials, zodiac signs and even sorority letters. One thing that I love about these bracelets is that they are made here in America and use recycled and eco-friendly materials. They can be worn alone, with other bracelets, or stacked. The bracelets are also adjustable and expandable. I was on the Nordstrom website when I initially came across the bracelets a while ago but today during a trip to my local TJ Maxx while browsing there jewelry counter to my surprise I found a bunch of Alex and Ani bangles! Although the bracelets are very reasonably priced to begin with, I am never one to pass up a great bargain or the additional savings that I am usually able to get on items that I find in TJ Maxx. I was super excited that I had found these bracelets in the store and going on and on about them (and my husband was starring at me like I was crazy as usual lol!). Unfortunately they did not have mine or my husbands initials ( I will order those from the web eventually), but I was able to find both of our zodiac signs. I got them in silver which goes perfectly one of my watches and a bracelet that I wear almost everyday. If you love personalized and unique jewelry I would suggest checking out the Alexa and Ani website here

Lust List: Tom Ford Bags and Shoes

There are really no words that can describe how gorgeous Tom Ford handbags and shoes are. I absolutely love them! I have been a fan of Tom Ford for sometime. I love his persona and the impeccable attention to detail he pays in the tailoring of women's pieces and men's suits. He is a favorite of mine among designers. Below are some of my favorite handbags and shoes from Tom Ford's current collection. I am obsessed with the padlock pumps and bag that can be used as a shoulder bag or folded and carried as a clutch.

Are you a fan of Tom Ford? If so what are some of favorites that he has designed? Do you own any of his pieces?

Currently Trending: Bomber Jackets

Bomber jackets are not just for cold weather and sporting events anymore. These days you can find super trendy bomber jackets in everything from denim to floral prints or even lace details. They are a great trend that can be paired with skirts, dresses or jeans and worn with heels, flats or even a cute pair of wedge sneakers. There have been a lot of bomber jackets on the runway in recent seasons also from designer labels such as Givenchy. I for one love the trend and have worn my cute light weight floral print bomber jacket this summer paired with colored jeans, a white tee and a statement shoe.

All jackets pictured can be purchased online at ASOS and Dorothy Perkins.
Are you into the bomber jacket trend? How would you pair your bomber jacket. I will do an outfit of the day post soon that features a bomber jacket look.

Phillip Lim x Target

It's that time again! Target has recently unveiled another fabulous designer collaboration and this time it is with designer Phlilip Lim. I am definitely excited about this collaboration as I have been eyeing the Phillip Lim pashli tote for quite sometime. The collection has a little bit of everything from work seperates to cool sweats and even some pretty awesome handbags and totes.Although I would surely splurge on the pashli which retails anywhere from $825 to $895, I would also love a cost effective alternative from Target! I love a good handbag so I of course will be at my local target as soon as it opens on September 15th to see what the collection has to offer.

View the entire look book here.

How do you feel about designer collaborations with retailers such as Target? Are you planning to buy anything from the Phillip Lim x Target collection? What are some of your favorite pieces?

Outfit of the Day: Monochrome Mood

This outfit is actually from this past Sunday. For a trip to church I decided to go for a monochrome look an add a pop of color with my cute neon clutch from Zara. Something simple but fashionable. These Zara sandals are super comfortable and the gold accents are just right without being over the top. I know everyone out there has these sandals but I still love them. The tribal accent they have are a favorite of mine.

This forever 21 top is super old and this was actually my first time wearing it. Comfortable and chic.

Bobbin'

I decided to change things up for the spring and summer this year and cut my hair into a cute bob. Although I have really enjoyed this hair style, I must say that I am starting to miss my longer hair. I am thinking of getting a sew in for a while until it grows back out but I am not sure.

These pictures are over the last few months of wearing my cute bob. It has grown quite a bit in the back and the layers are not as pronounced anymore more are the sides/front drastically longer than the back. I miss the definition, but I definitely want it to continue growing.

No more haircuts for a while for me lol!

How do you transition after a haircut? Are you a fan of extensions or do you prefer natural hair?

Updated: Boyfriend Jeans for Plus Size Women

Have you ever wanted to try boyfriend jeans but were afraid that you would not be able to achieve the perfect fit because of your thighs or butt? That was my issue for quite some time. As the plus size fashion market grows and more and more brands and retailers begin to embrace the curvier woman, our options increase for different fashions that were not always as readily available to us. Often times I highlight trends and ideas here that are not necessarily plus sized but can be done by a plus size woman by just shopping her closet or purchasing a few key items. I have given you an example of a chic casual outfit with boyfriend jeans before, so I wanted to talk about some place where you can purchase plus sized boyfriend jeans.

Here are options at various price points for any of you curvy ladies out there that want to try the boyfriend jean trend.

ASOS CURVE

FOREVER 21+
SAKS

If these jeans are not quite your style you can also grab a pair of men's jeans or other over sized jeans and do a DIY project to make a pair that suits your specific taste. Another great option would be to try a thrift store or Goodwill in your area to look for a good pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. Do you own any boyfriend jeans? Where did you purchase them from and how do you style them?
